Grievance Redressal Committee

Purpose

The Grievance Redressal Committee at GATE Institute of Technology and Management Sciences serves as a high-level body dedicated to addressing grievances and complaints. The primary objectives of the committee include:

Fair and Impartial Resolution: Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and consistent mechanism for resolving issues.
Upholding Institutional Dignity: Promoting harmonious relationships within the institution to maintain its dignity.
Encouraging Accountability: Fostering a responsive and accountable attitude among all stakeholders.

Composition

The committee will consist of an equal number of members representing both the management and staff. The chairperson will be appointed on a rotational basis, alternating between representatives from the management and the staff.

Timelines

The committee is expected to hear, settle, and resolve grievances within a defined timeframe, typically within three months from the date the complaint is filed.

Mediation

If necessary, the committee may facilitate mediation between the complainant and the respondent to promote understanding and resolution.

Guidance

The recommendations and advice provided by the committee will be taken into account by the institution's leadership, provided they align with established rules and norms.

Definition of Grievances

A grievance may encompass any form of discontent or dissatisfaction that an individual perceives as unfair, unjust, or inequitable.
